EVERYONE LEADS will focus on how to be a leader and influence organizational change from any position you hold in your organization. The facilitator for the workshop is Maureen Sullivan, Past President of ALA, and Facilitator and Curriculum Developer for the 2019 MD Library Leadership Institute. Topics include: What is leadership today; influence without authority; confidence; basics of leading projects. The workshop is intended for Branch managers and department heads, assistant managers, supervisors, and team leaders.
Each workshop is two sessions, and participants are required to attend both sessions. (September 11 and October 9, 2019)
CE Contact Hours: 12 hours total (Required attendance for both days)
There is no charge to attend as all workshop fees are covered by LSTA funding, which also includes morning refreshments and lunch. Libraries will select who should attend, and those individuals can then register themselves for a particular two-day session. (Registration includes attending both days.) The maximum class size is 30.
