New MLA Executive Director - Josh Stone!

We are pleased to announce the new Executive Director for the Maryland Library Association! Joshua (Josh) Stone will begin his new role on December 6th.

Josh was most recently the Director of Staff Development at the Southeast Florida Library Information Network (SEFLIN) and also worked at the Palm Beach County Library System. He has experience in conference planning, grant writing, managing budgets, strategic planning, and technology.  Josh has a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from University of North Florida and a Master of Science in Library and Information Studies from Florida State University. He brings both library experience and association experience having worked with Palm Beach County Library Association for nearly ten years.

We extend thanks to the search committee, led by past president Morgan Miller, for all your time and work during the selection process. The committee included David Dahl (ALA Councilor), Michelle Hamiel (Chair, MLA EDI Task Force), Jill Hutchinson (CSD president), Teonja Jung (SSD president), Irene Padilla (Maryland State Librarian), and Joe Thompson (longtime MLA member and former president).
