Lt. Governor Boyd K. Rutherford released a PSA to help promote the MD STEM Festival

The 5th annual Maryland STEM Festival is scheduled for October 11 – November 10, 2019.  The Festival is a month-long celebration of science, technology, engineering and mathematics that takes place every Fall throughout Maryland.
This year's theme is Space and Flight in honor of the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing on the moon and the 60th Anniversary of the opening of Goddard Space Flight Center.  Through hands-on activities, talks, lab tours, nature experiences, expos, exhibits and performances, the Festival engages a wide range of public audiences while inspiring future generations.  Maryland libraries have played a significant role in the success of the Festival as the partner offering and posting the most STEM events to the Festival website each year.  Libraries have also helped to create and promote the Festival Art Contest. This year Art Contest winners will have their art on display November 3rd through 10th at the  NASA Goddard Space Flight Center's Visitor Center.
